It's almost time for our pea-chicks to hatch. She has nested about a quarter mile away from the house, so I've been checking on her. It's around 27 days at the moment so I guess it could be any day now. I didn't manage to check on her today as I had a migraine, so maybe there is a little one. I'll post tomorrow if there is and maybe get a picture.
There is two other peahens that have nested, one is on the neighbours land so I can't check on her. So I hope that they are fertile as I'm not sure how long she'd sit on them for. The other one I've yet to find. Normally after a few days nesting they come off and call for food. The only issue there is I'm not always around to hear her.
