2019 Spring Ducklings are here!

are you saying theyd dig up a corpse?

wow. Running on pure rage. Moose are like that here. 12g slug to the face and still run 40 metres and stop a tree to death
They might not go 6' down but they will dig up a neighborhood in one night. I'm talking a gated community with everyone with perfect lawns and garden beds.

Duckling update: The first escape! I drove down to the mailbox, came back and parked the car in the garage, closed the garage door and went upstairs to deliver the packages to my wife. When i came back down all the duckies were frantically peeping and stretching their necks… Spot, the little rascal, was running around in the garage and hiding under the car that i had just parked. Had to lure her out with some meal-worms. Fortunately she escaped after i had returned and the car was parked and the garage-door closed. Could easily have ended as duckling puree…
:barnie:th
Other than that - they have grown again since yesterday! Now they can look over the brooder walls again. Time to get the duck-house ready!
Speaking of duck-house:
Can’t wait to see it all put together.
I will put the duck-house together tomorrow - if the weather permits - today i had to paint the last two pieces in white:

What i forgot to mention is that the paint i am using contains 25 grams of capsaisin, that is the stuff that makes chillies hot and 25 grams is enough to deter a horde of wild elephants away from a village in India. That will be a bad surprise for every racoon, possum or other predator when they try to chew through. :lau :yesss:
Birds don't taste this stuff, in fact the peppers have developed this to be eaten by birds only so that their seed are being distributed with a package of fertilizer…
And i have a little surprise with the design, wait until tomorrow! (If the weather permits)

Sorry I didn't know you then. I give it away.
Well i need to get another customer in the Houston area. Last year i checked a cooler bag full of Chapell-Hill sausages and fajita-beef from my favorite mexican-store, at the airport. They asked twice »You have what in that bag?«

Now I know you are being truthful about living in Houston. You know about the secret Chapell Hill sausage. We also went to Chapel Hill in ‘79 for gas and diesel during the gas crisis . Of course since we were there we bought sausage.
