Arctic in Nova Scotia? - I thought you've more of a maritime climate as an island in the Atlantic.

I assume -9°C - as you are living in Canada. That is lousy cold, especially when you calculate in the high(er) humidity that i'm sure you will have and that sucks the warmth right out of your bones. I remember -30°C in Red Deer Alberta felt quite ok, compared to the wet -3°C in Baltimore. Tomorrow night the bottom here will drop out: -17°C is forecasted for Charleston. I'm up a bit in the mounthills and we might get down to -20°C … I hate cold weather, wish i'd be back in Houston!

We were about 0 c this morning. It was colder one morning last week. Of course, that was the morning I broke off the ball valve for the outlet I use to water the ducks.
