I’m so jealous - wish I had a broody girl. Also those Aylesbury ducks sound like fun. Hoping you’ll post pic once they settle in.Broody ducks eggs will be hatching on Friday, there’s 5 eggs under her now, four of them are looking good. I’ve ordered two, day old aylesbury ducklings set to arrive on Saturday to slip under her Aswell.
Thanks for the stroke. JerkOnly ONE duckling is left!
The worst predator of all has taken all my ducklings:
Time has turned them all from ducklings into young ducks. No more cute down feathers, no more soothing peeps and bouncing around. Instead loud quacks, lot's of feathers and plenty of waddling!
Only the little Buff Orpington drake has not yet developed his grown-up voice, he is still peeping, super friendly and cuuute!
But for sure it is just a question of time before he turns into a young drake too…
They are just six weeks old!
Now i am left with a gang of rowdy teenagers:

Your post nearly killed me! I just finished reading 3 successive posts on Facebook (Vermont Bird Fanciers) from different people who had their entire flocks slaughtered by weasels last night. I am so, so glad that I finished reading your post! The ducklings have gotten so big so fast!![]()
