@Magnolia Ducks - If i remember correct, you also bought Buff-Orpington ducks from Ideal, right? I stumbled upon below picture of a Saxony duck from BackyardPoultry, it is their breed of the month…

Doesn't that look an awful lot like the »Buff Orpingtons« from Ideal:

Plus, i dragged one of my »BO's« out of the pool today and weight her (don't ask, i've scratches all over) - she weighs 3.5Kg (7.7lbs) where she should not be heavier than than 3Kg. And they don't stand upright at all, like Buff's should.

Hmm, my remain ing one has white above her eyes too. Not as much as that one. Andi have a Swedish with no bib.

Also friends I set two eggs today. George was eaten and I am trying to see if I can get a baby george. Miraculous Mini was missing for two days and I was sure she had been eaten too. On the third day I found her in her coop. I was very confused until I figured out where she had been hiding. Grabbed the two eggs she laid while in hiding. Keep you fingers crossed. Mini has now survived over 7 predator attacks, she may have cat genes.

I am so very sorry to hear about George. Sure hope for some baby Georges in 28 days.

Will candle in five to see if we are even fertile. Coyote have learned to jump the electric netting and reopen the buffet.

Poor Mini I am so glad she has survived but goodness that had to of been close I bet George sacrificed himself for her.

Probably, he would hiss and chase me if I got too close to her. First time I ever had a missing duck return. she is still not exactly right. misses George I think. Also I think the rat snake ate my ceramic eggs as they disappeared from the coop. Somewhere there is a rat snake with a bad tummy ache.
