For reference the height of inside of the box is 12". Now I know what grow up fast means.

They are still making peeps. Mine are sex linked so I know I have 3 drakes and 1 hen. The boys can stay until they start fighting their father. Congratulations on your 44 to 72 hours! they are beautiful.

I did not find it expensive to build by following WannaBeHillBilly's directions and my four use it to huddle under when frightened.

Magnolia Ducks = So cute and ready to go out next week. Mine were two weeks yesterday and can look over the top of the brooder but have to stand tip for to do it. Waiting for news on pinball duck hatching and Texag87 has five brand new ones. I also have 14 in the bator and a new run on the way.

They are so cuuuute! - Never had Anconas, but they are one of my favorite duck breeds!

Agree! If i ever have ducklings in a brooder - i have two other ducks being borderline broody - i will just lay down a heat-pad flat on the ground and have them sitting on it.
