Got this heated roosting bar when our juvie chickens outgrew their stock tank brooder in the garage and needed to move to the "great outdoors" when temps were still lower than I liked. It is supper easy to assemble and seemed to work quite well.

We thought we'd try something new & fun that we've never done before: A Tractor Supply Company (TSC) and Amazon giveaway!

We're getting close to that time of year when many of us will be thinking about gifts for their loved ones... well, if there's one thing we've learned over the years, is that many of us LOVE our chickens! So, why not include them in the list of gift-recipients?

Our goal is to find out which gifts available through TSC and Amazon would be most fun and popular in 2020. Not only will this process help our community discover fun chicken-gifts, but it helps us too as BYC gets a tiny % of each sale made through links to TSC and Amazon. (Note, this does NOT increase the price of the items... it just gives BYC a few pennies for referring you to their sites).

Prizes:
EIGHT (8) peeps will each receive a $25 gift card to either Amazon or TSC (winners choice)!

TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY:

1. Search for a product / item at TSC or Amazon that you have purchased or would like to purchase as a gift for your flock or favorite chicken (adding a picture would be great too ).
2. Copy the link to the item and then reply to this thread with a link to the product and a quick sentence on why you like it, why you think it would be great for your flock, etc.
3. Come back every day to post a new item! LIMIT: One link per reply, and one submission per day, per user.
4. Check out other people's posts, and "like" or "love" the ones that you think are items you would also want to get some day.
5. We'll finish accepting submissions at the end-of-day 10/31 (Pacific Time).

Oh my gosh!! I LOVE these! I’m in GA, so I have to wear whole shoes & it SUUUCKSS bc I hate shoes! I wonder if I layered these under my flops if I’d survive?!

This is Manna Pro Hen Healer & it is AMAZING! I have 8 Hens, 4 Puppers, a Beardy, and a Guinea Pig, so needless to say, I’m ALWAYS working on something that involves my little Zoo. Because of that, I have seriously cracked skin on my thumb & pointer finger on my dominant hand & although I may not be a hen, it has worked WONDERS! They’re cracking less & healing a good bit, so I swear by this stuff!
That said, it’s also awesome for actual Hens, too! I have 2 Leghorns (Nyra & June-Bug) and they both have Floppy Wobblers (I know they’re “combs” but Floppy Wobblers is just great!) & since it’s gotten a bit chillier & much more dry, I’ve been using this & they’re FW’s are beautiful & they’ve gotten so used to it, they pretty much demand it in the mornings...June-Bug’s flops over her right eye, so I was a little skeptical bc it has menthol smell to it, but it hasn’t bothered her eye at all! One of my Easter Eggers has a bad attitude & she nips at the other’s FW’s, but believe it or not, this deters her from doing it & it’s actually forced her to calm down a little bit & “talk” to me about her problems instead of taking it out on everyone else! I’m being funny, but I really do love this stuff & with it being $6.99 and so incredibly versatile, EVERYBODY needs a little Hen Healer in their lives!
