In other news, my white gander (Walter) passed away on the 10th May. 😔 He was 44 years old and was only 5 years off of the world record. His partner (Emma) has been distraught and has done nothing except sit about all day since his death. They had been together for well over 30 years and had never been apart from each other.

Poor Emma is very lonely now.
I'm so sorry about Walter and hopefully Emma perks up. :(

Can't wait to see all 10 of them! :love

Well other SS hatched! 3 of the four left are piped. I'm a little worried that one is drying out inside a bit, and I might need to take wax off the one egg, but not sure how to add water without hurting or having escaping chicks?

*Edit* it was a little dry but chick #7 finally hatched and looks like the humidity went back up so yay! Just 3 more! Hubs is bringing home a new lamp as our other one for inside broke. Getting their new lil home fixed up for them!

We ended up having to assist the other OE egg, thankfully hubs brought home the stuff we needed for the new indoor brooder. Poor guy, got everything out and it was rocking that egg like crazy but nothing since last night so I knew help was needed, it's out now after I got the opening rehydrated, but we'll see if it makes it. Wax egg piped under the wax so I scraped enough off so it can take it from there. Last egg no pips but baby is moving so I added more water and just waiting to see if they'll hatch too.
BUT! We have 7 babies! And it's like a chickie rainbow! And three have feathers on their legs!!! One is the all black one!
