What a beautiful pup! :love So glad you saved him, some people can be so awful!:smack

Yay, new layers....:love

people can definitely be awful! I'm having issues with my neighbor's farm hand.... my neighbor is pretty chill about my chickens and we've talked since they wander over to his place sometimes. But i caught his farm hand throwing things at my chickens because they are getting close to the fence line. I've held my tongue for now as i don't want to start something....and i know i can pretty intense when someone is hurting something i care about. So we'll see.

i got one egg yesterday... so either it's the heat or the boogers are hiding eggs again! i might need to yell at someone LOL!!!!! hunting over 5 acres is a pain! it's pretty cool today so i might go spy and follow them.

I'd have a talk with that person...chickens aren't going to hurt anything, well unless it's a new garden!

I'm so glad that we're not giving our chickens access to our 5 acres, we always had surprise batches of baby bantams when we didn't contain them. It will be much easier to find any nests outside of the coop in their fenced free range area!:)

Yes! It rained yesterday so I was not able to get posts up but I hope to tonight get two or more up.... I'm so done with egg hunts! :gig

It will make it so much easier for you! 💞
Yes! I just need a handyman (hubs is just really weak from developing achalasia and can't help) and the weather to make up it's mind! Today it's raining all day, yesterday a storm popped up out of nowhere.... :barnie :he. If I have to I'll use my birthday money to hire lol!! Or I need to buy a tool to help me mix cement.

Today we refreshed the nesting boxes, put the smaller ones in back of third stall as that's where the young ones hang out. Put new pad in dog house for older girls we'll see if they like it. We moved babies into barn yesterday as it got up to 120F in the shed, way too hot! So more open room and they can see the others now too. Looks like I have about half and half gender ratio still.

At least we got a few things done on this rainy day!

Wish I lived closer, so I could help you! 🙁

Aww thank you :hugs that means a lot. I'll get it figured out and done eventually. It got so hot here so fast this year... if it ends up waiting till this fall, well than i'll take the time to save up to do something completely different. ...maybe hire someone to build me a large open air coop. we barely get below freezing so as long as they have an area to escape sleet this will be good.

Maybe by then i'll have my handyman back, he's supposed to have surgery soon, just waiting on the surgeon to call us and he's taking his time.
