After all of the work we've done, we finally get to see our flock enjoy their new space!!! We hung the new gate that my husband built and put the automatic door that he built many years ago in place today!

23 very happy Chickens!!!

Having a little fun and spreading their wings! My battery ran down and I missed a huge flight from the far end, back to where I was standing!

The adult girls have lice!! We just got the spray today so will be spraying them down tonight before bed. I sprayed their nest boxes down, roosting areas, and entrance to stall. Hopefully it helps!

Nice chicks! Hopefully the lice will go away soon!!

Thank you!! They're pretty sweet...

I think because it started out hotter then normal the bugs have been worse... I'm going to make a dusting bath frame and work on getting that set up for them. This next week is to have a "chill" so going to work on a few more things for them.

Hello and welcome to my chat thread 🐔👋
I’m making another one of these because the last one Went a bit silent and I was starting to talk to myself... Am I really that boring?? 😬 😂

Allow me to introduce myself.
I live in Ireland.
I have 30 chickens, 27 Brahmas, blue buff columbian, golden partridge, blue partridge and lemon Pyle are their colours, I could go through them all individually but I wouldn’t want to bore you..,1 RIR, 1 buff Orpington and 1 buff Orpington mix.
only had around 10 chickens at the beginning of last year but I became a bit of a Hatchaholic.. it was around 50 at one stage ...
The plan was to breed them but they ended up getting a respiratory illness so now I’ve decided to keep them as a closed flock. Which is kinda what I was going to do anyways because no one was buying the roosters and I just had so many.
15 ducks, the colours are magpie, Rouen, khaki and a few mixed. 10 Guineas, 2 cocker dogs, 2 rabbits 2 cats View attachment 2041209

I like to grow sunflowers every year because they are beautiful plants, they’re great for wildlife and they put a smile on everyone’s face.

so... I’ve introduced myself.
now it’s your turn
Now that was an introduction. Beautiful flock! I want some ducks, but the wife wants me to put in a pool for them first. Dogs are very well groomed and I love me some (springer spaniel golden retriever mix?). Your backyard is awesome (I hope my wife does not see). Looks like oyu have put a bunch of work into it, and it has truly paid off...Beautiful! Thanks for the thread, and I promise to post some pics of my girls (our family hens).
