It's amazing how fast that can happen and then tack on the humidity that you all have and it can be brutal...try not to melt!!! Not to show off, but it's a beautiful 70 degrees here today! We don't have your humidity, so when our hot weather finally hits in another month or two it's a bit more bearable than your neck of the woods!

Hi all! I am new to this site and new to owning my own chickens! I live in Columbia, SC where it is now in the 70s and 80s already! If only it would stay this temp all summer, but it will only get hotter.
Anyways, everyone, meet my Apocalypse Chickens! They are named after the Four Henchmen of the Apocalypse: Famine (TL), Pestilence (TR), Death (BL) and Plague (BR). Yes I know I forgot War because Pestilence and Plague are the same but they already own their names. Also, according to some of the more experienced on this site, it is nearly 100% possible that Plague is male so that will cause a change of plans.
I have a broody.. so I may get a few more babies... .... do any of you know if this is something they do when they go broody? Picked her up and noticed bare belly......View attachment 2081745View attachment 2081746View attachment 2081747View attachment 2081748
Thanks! I don’t have a rooster so I’ll let her raise some adopted babies from feed store.. she is one that my Silkie adopted and raised last year...
I have finalized my rabbit trio! The broken colors are from 2 separate liters, even though they look similar, they share the same great grandfather, (they are purebred New Zealands) The gray doe was from the initial trio, she is a mix of NZ/Cali and ? Our Buck is Buck...I know, I couldn't resist, the broken doe is Sweet Cheeks...that could change and the gray doe is Chloe!

Our children loved their pet rabbits, so much fun and snuggly! I hope I can get the gray one to tame down a bit more, I can hold her, but she really doesn't like it! The two NZ's are much better! So cute!!! My middle son wants rabbits again but I'm not sure about it. Might have to wait for a bit but those are just adorable!
