Thanks for tagging me!

So intro: my name is Monica. Im a stay at home mom turned chicken carer. :gig Last March my then 5 yr old son was obsessed with chickens, we thought it a phase....nope! We finally caved and got him 12 chicks. He loved them, cuddled them, took them on adventures, and got me hooked too! We've rehomed and added since then, but my kiddo has a special bond with all our chickens. He can run and play and they follow him and want his attention, even our big rooster!

I don't like birds, but I have to say this adventure with chickens has changed my tune a bit. At the start of fall we had 18 chickens, we now only have 13 grown ups. A coyote and neighbor dog have been sneaking girls.. So we tried ordering chicks and got all roosters, :barnie but chick days started and I now have 17 babies, 3 four month olds we hatched, and our 13 adults. Waiting for the ground to dry a bit before finishing up the new large run.

Here's some pics!

he was a bit slow to grow at the start but he just had a big growth spurt there recently.

It’s been raining nonstop here too, luckily this past few days haven’t been so bad.
sorry for your losses :hugs
We were having lot’s of fox problems around the end of last year
Our neighbours lost all of their chickens a few weeks ago but I haven’t heard or seen any foxes since then, so they must of got him..

He's gorgeous!!! Our neighbor lost their entire flock this last month, now that we know what we're up against we've set traps and my other neighbor has the ability to despatch it. (He lost his long waited calf to it, so he's pretty ticked) Looks like this winter wasn't kind to a lot.

I'm so jelly of your gardens!!! I have a black thumb, kill any plant I touch! I saw Luna's babies! They're beautiful! I wish I could get my hands on more variety of brahmas in my area... But I have to have them shipped and it just gets sooo expensive!
