What do you consider unacceptable? I agree with you partly, offensive things should be kept off of this website as a whole, but a lot of things aren’t offensive, people just don’t like them. I can say I don’t like geese, and report everyone that has any mention of geese in their profile, but why? Geese aren’t hurting anything, I just don’t like them. They probably like geese, so why should I say they aren’t aloud to share them with others? Beliefs define cultures, heritages, people. I’m proud to like chips in milk, and I know I would be really upset if someone decided I couldn’t share that.

Erasing isn’t fixing. It’s like history. Sure to us some of it stunk, and we try to erase it, but that only causes more problems. The people living in the history probably didn’t see it as bad, they probably thought it was great. Deleting a post because some people don’t like it isn’t helping anything. A bad post should be kept, and shared to the younger generations as a thing not to do.

Everything is subjective. You might think everything I have ever said in my life was political, but I don’t think that. I don’t live my life trying to be as political as possible. If you are searching for something, you will find it. Looking at something you disagree with and labeling it as political is incorrect. That may be political to you, but it might not be for someone else. It could just be reality for someone.

I would like EVERYONE on this thread to look at it from the eyes of someone you think is on the opposite side as you. If you lived a life of discrimination and hatred, you would be more inclined to see things as such. If you don’t understand the struggles of a group, try to. You can’t judge everyone on your standards, or on your experiences, you need to see it from the eyes of those who haven’t experienced everything you have. And if you can’t see things through any other light, maybe you shouldn’t be judging people’s actions. Good people do bad things for good reasons. Bad people do good things for bad reasons.
that does not even DESERVE a “reasonable” reply!! @ralphie doesn’t like dux and in fact states that specifically in his PFM title!!! that states not only is he a “paid supporter” (not a freeloader) on this site, but he has an “issue” with some types of poultry!!! that is acceptable and funny!!! (for “public” content)

Exactly! But we have a moderator with a bible quote in their signature, among many MANY others on the site... LOTS of psalms. And people who mention their partners in their signatures.... I've seen a LOT of people with crosses in their avatars that still have them whom I will not name. I have not seen them removed so I am happy that at least vague LGBT+ ones are not removed. I think that's a step towards equity.
Personally I'm not overly comfortable with christianity. Many people discuss it outside their threads, mentioning going to their churches, etc. I do not report these people or expect to be shielded from them unless they say something explicitly rude to me. I hope they continue to have spaces they can speak about those things, and even mention their daily experiences in other threads. But I would be much more comfortable if they weren't there.

??? I've posted an awful lot about chickens. I literally was telling someone how to clip wings today. I posted on someones thread about Mareks today about biosecurity and managing their vaccinated flock... I do think it's weird that you're researching me though....

All I was suggesting to you was this statement you made was not the case, and we do see these sorts of statements actively allowed by staff.
Not research you. I don’t follow you or anything like that. I’ve read random posts on different threads and I’m sorry , but I pick up on patterns and have noticed whether intended or not, you frequently seem to be angry. Even in your response to my remarks. Just a casual observation. Although I’m retired even responding to this current thread is way too time consuming. I personally have carried anger with me too many days of my life and have finally learned that life is too short for all the negativity. And honestly I am not trying to offend.

you will have to take up the crosses, psalms etc up with a moderator or @Nifty-Chicken himself but as for the lgbt ones that have been deemed acceptable.....they are in no way “vague” and to suggest such is laughable!!!

I WAS USING THAT AS AN EXAMPLE!!:!$:!3!!!!!!!!!!$/!/&2&!:!’ I was talking about it in a not funny context. I genuinely don’t like geese, they are all mean to me, but I wouldn’t be rude about it. I meant if I were to actively report people for liking geese, that would be rude. If I were to actively report people for being Christian, even though I personally disagree with Christianity, that would be rude. You are allowed to dislike things as long as you do it in a respectful manner.

I never said I don’t agree with it. Of course I don’t agree with everything said in them, but I think the threads are funny, and they have a nice overall tone to them.
well with that said let’s just say we agree to disagree because personally as a good friend and top poster in @Kiki tnreads in general.....lurkers, non-paticipants, and dis-agreeers are not welcome!!! IMO

Well, I personally know 3 people who had theirs removed. :) So yeah. I do consider the ones that are left vague.

As for taking it up with a moderator, that's EXACTLY what I'm talking about. There's literally a moderator with bible stuff in their signature. So if I'm also not allowed to have stuff like that in my signature/avatar that would imply that it's not equitable. Hence my questions to Nifty about peoples lived experiences being allowed and my concerns around unequal treatment and bias.

So like, yeah, I'm not cozy with the christian avatars and such. Much like you're not cozy with LGBT stuff. But personally I'd rather us have both on here, I'd rather be challenged by the presence of others (as long as they're not actively causing harm) than ask that they become invisible and go away, even if they make me uncomfortable. And they're clearly endorsed by moderators on one side of the aisle so shouldn't they be on the other if it were equitable?

You literally posted something antagonistic. :p Did you expect a non-upset response? Genuinely? Like "Hey! Stop being angry!" and then I say "Gee thanks! I'm cured!".

Honestly now... If you're ACTUALLY trying not to offend you couldn't, like, address it a WEE bit better? There's a million ways to address someones anger. Your bedside manner is deeply lacking if you're genuinely trying to elicit change. And honestly I am not trying to offend. ;)
