When my DD was in high school one of her teachers gave the class an interesting test. The instructions very clearly said to read the entire test, all 150 questions, before you begin answering. Question #150 simply stated, do not answer any of the questions... write your name on this paper and place it on my desk. Out of 34 students... only 2 read the instructions and did it correctly. :idunno
If anyone wonders, my daughter wasn't one of the two who did it correctly :smack😆

I don’t know how much clearer that can be, unless in giant bold lettering it says something along the lines of landscape orientation only will be considered?
I thought about that, but in the end, but a large, excellent picture in portrait mode could be used *if* it can be cropped to the correct size.

Most photos are portrait as when taking the picture you must go the direction of the object you are photographing. So if object tall it is portrait mode. If the object is wide then landscape for optimal depiction. Photography 101 high school also I just now saw this amongst like 4,000 other posts.
I think this is true with cell phone users, but for those that use a camera, I think most take in landscape mode.

Unsure if still taking photos for or not. Not sure why showed up in feed. Has old calendar years and new title must just keep using same thread. I hope cropping is considered since Raven is in portrait. I’ll let them Tweek the photos if win. I never do. I think I need like an excellent 35 mm camera with zoom.

This contest for the 2021 calendart is closed and is no longer accepting entries. Next year's calendar contest will be that same... The calendar will be printed on 11 inch wide by 8.5 inch tall paper which means you all will need to submit pictures that can be cropped to that size.

So tell me, how can we word the next contest to get this point across better?
How about this:
