I have updated this far less than I intended, sorry. It's been a terribly rough week. I've lost 4 seperate birds in 4 days (A Phoenix hen to a sheep [yes, a sheep. My 300lb ewe hates chickens with a first passion], her daughter to a dead foot wound [long story, can elaborate if wanted though], my quail Luftwaffe [sp?] to flying the coop, and my D'Anvers hen Gimpy to a fox that took her off our porch yesterday morning.
I put 5 silkies and the Columbian Wyandotte chicks up on a poultry page on Facebook to try and move them along while they're cute And get a bit of my cost back. So Benny, Three Toes, Three Fingers and Splice (the 4 odd footed silkies) and Piglet (the tiny buff silkie) are hopefully going to find new homes before they get older and become males
