My ducks love playing "soccer" with this ball. I put a small handful of dry treats, like mealworms, inside and they peck it all over! I suspect chickens would also enjoy it.

Thinking about getting these for when conditions get very icy this winter. My ducks LOVE the snow and ice but i am not that much of a fan myself. The chickens are happy to get out of the house as well and just stand on some hay that i put out so they dont get their feet cold. I still brave it for them though.

What other types of treats do you put inside? my ducks are spoiled because i dig them up real worms very often so they wont eat the dry meal worms haha!
If my ducks are hungry they will also eat their regular food, Mazuri Waterfowl pellets, from the ball. They are also crazy about scratch and I've given them very small amounts of that in the ball

My ducks initially refused to eat dried worms, as well. I got tired of digging up worms so I started soaking mealworms to rehydrate them and get my ducks used to the flavor. Eventually they adjusted and now they love them. 🙂

MY DUCKS DID THE SAME THING, when they are rehydrated they are ok with it. They are just too clever.

ok

is it easy to dump/refill? i’m thinking about getting one for my 5 ducks, but i want the extra large so they have more room and don’t want to waste $55 if it doesn’t work lol
I have an extra large one. I have been using it for a summer and it got a tiny rip at the seam where I lift it to dump. It still has a bit of water to dump after drained. The ducks love it though.

thank you! i’ll probably order one next spring, it gets way too cold in michigan during the winter so they won’t be able to swim outside in a month here lol
