My chickens need 2 more of these so I can put each kind of feed in it's own can and have a spare to rotate through so I'm never putting new feed on top of old. (Then DH will build me a rack to hold them at a convenient height).

For my Amazon link today I have a link to this chick heat plate. I prefer using heat plates over heat lamps because of the safety issue, plus I have to constantly replace bulbs before they break. Heat plates are great for raising chicks and other poultry babies, and sometimes can even be used for adult birds if set to the right height. We have been using the "Rent A Coop" brand, but have read good reviews on this one and want to get a few more for our chick raising season.

Meet Featherbutt (black Cochin) and Puffball (white silkie), both acquired from the same neighbor who didn't want them. We use what we have to keep them comfortable, move their cages, and even have a makeshift yard for them to wander. They are quite tame, fat, clean, and seemingly happy. Basically, we could use anything we would get in this giveaway for their betterment.

And we frequent the local TSC often. So, a plus for us?
