I have crazy amount of space for my babies, but I may just keep them separate because I don't want to mix them up. coming late spring. Not my first rodeo.

Meyer hatchery female
5 rare (they mix different kinds if you chose 5)
3 white egg layers (they mix diff. kinds if you chose 3

1 welsummer
1Blue andelusian

14 FPB

26 total.

I also have chicks hatching in April. (I went to MT and picked up NN, also local eggs.)

Your Meyer order sounds amazing! I can’t wait to see what you get in your mixes! (Hopefully you’ll share it!) What is FPB?

Eventually when we move to bigger property , I’d love to do Cackle mini box too.

I’m trying to decide what to do this morning, I hate decisions The little brown chick died in the night, so usually I’d go get a new one (or four lol). They had some gorgeous silkies and what I think were mislabelled buff Polish… I’m getting two buff Polish in about two weeks, but the hatchery currently can’t ship to UT (Ag dept shut down poultry imports, but other hatcheries still can? ). So that’s 6 chicks that might not be arriving… Get them while I can??? Then do I get another couple of the brown ones or wait to see if the other feed store still gets them?

Our local feed store had the hatchery drive them down since they said they couldn't be shipped. Crazy and I haven't had a chance to validate it though we just had ours shipped in last week so maybe it's new.

Our local feed store had the hatchery drive them down since they said they couldn't be shipped. Crazy and I haven't had a chance to validate it though we just had ours shipped in last week so maybe it's new.

Oh dear, I hadn’t heard that yet! That is not helpful… I totally understand and agree shipping chicks is super risky, but I can’t afford local prices

Just Utah for now, the AG department shut down all imports into the state. I’m not sure how they are enforcing it though

The shipment due at the feed store today didn’t come in, I’ll ask about it during 4H tomorrow. I was hoping to get a blue laced red Wyandotte or another blue laced Barnevelder, so at least my pocket is saved Showed much restraint and got one Welsummer that looks very pullet-y. She’ll be moved into the washroom pen with my home matched babes, they’re getting more adventurous and I worry about the bantams getting squished… The Polish chicks from yesterday will join them soon I’m guessing (you just KNOW I couldn’t leave those buff babes at the store!)

I’m hoping to manage having a too long enough to get some Olive Eggers from the Welsummers and WTB
