Just wanted to add...
I use it as the base layer of my coop, and loft. I purchase the horse variety/quantity. Lasts for me a long time,, since I keep small flock. I cover it with hay.. I know others use shavings, and other medium. Hay works for me because,, It is eatable,, and somewhat has nutrition,,, VS wood shavings,, straw,, etc. And NO,,, NEVER HAD IMPACTED CROP IN MY CHICKENS:highfive:

I was the one that asked the question, because I use the horse PDZ in both my chicken and duck/goose coops, plus my two brooders I have in my house. I'd never seen the PDZ labeled for coops before, and was a bit shocked by how much more it was! Just to have a chicken on the front! 🤦🏼‍♀️
