Yeah, I have one freeloader out of four chickens. Mine are around 6 months. The others have been laying for several weeks already.

Yep, mine is a buff orp, and she is 27 weeks. She was a late bloomer, and just started getting her comb and wattles a few weeks ago. She still shows no signs of laying...no interest in the nesting boxes (unless someone is in them, then she will go stare at them), no squatting, nothing. My other buff orp started laying over a month ago.Wow! So yours are 25-27 weeks old and one is still holding out? We have 1 Black Jersey Giant, which seem to mature slower, so I’m not surprised she’s not laying yet, but the other 6 free-loaders I have are a surprise since I would have expected most of them to be laying by now.

I hope so.That seems late for a Buff Orp - hoping she starts laying before winter sets in!
Brown Leghorn eggs could be cream or pale brown, I have 4 of them
