So the vet came out and did an x-ray. There was no egg there and no obvious signs of anything abnormal. She did see pockets of food or possibly some more of whatever she is passing, possibly in digested OS. They were not obviously inflamed or large. She felt like Dawn would be able to pass them.
No cocci or parasites seen in fecal. So corrid and safeguard can be discontinued. She thinks that Dawn likely has an underlying infection or has a vitamin deficiency. She gave Dawn a shot of antibiotic and several shots of vitamins to hopefully encourage her to eat better and get her nutrition back where it needs to be. She gave her a dose of pepto as well.
After the shots scared me by laying prostrate and breathing very oddly. I thought I was losing her… But I picked her up and massaged her and after the vet left she seem to calm down and get back to where she’s been.
I got her to drink a little vitamin water and egg yolk mixed together.
That’s where we are. We ruled out some things but I’m praying to see SOME improvement.
