24 Week old Chickens

I'm so sorry the rooster/cockerel is not obvious. Have you had these girls since they started laying? Have any of them come to you already laying?

This one has feathers missing from the top, and has a very closed hole. There are 5 that have smaller holes than others. There are three that have the most rooster type features and small/ closed holes.

That one could be it, he has feathers missing right where saddle feathers should be. Maybe they were pecked out.

Do hens peck bad or is a better possibility there are 3 roosters. The three I’m suspecting are walking around pecking at the hens, have closed holes.

Do you have enough free time to try to catch them "in the act" of fertilizing? My 24 week old cockerel likes to dance/pounce right after they are let out of the coop in the morning.. and then randomly during the day. So maybe a good time to catch it is in the AM?

My young rooster was practicing crowing when an older hen walked up to him and grabbed his wing and pulled out a feather. He didn't crow for the rest of the day. Maybe you have the same situation. Especially if he is not crowing a lot.
