She is a "she", and you should get her first egg within a few weeks.

Try putting golf balls, or wooden or plastic eggs in the nesting boxes, if you haven't already.

She is a beautiful pullet.

We do already one golf ball in each nesting box along with some alfafa to be nice and comfurtable. And thanks!

I have a 23 week old Buff not laying yet either. She looks just like yours. I also have an Australorp, the world record egg laying breed, who is the same age also not laying. Every morning I go out to the coop and announce, "Whats for breakfast, ladies? Omelettes or chicken?" They just bockbock me for their breakfast.

So frustrated...I feel like I'm doing everything right. I understand the Easter Egger and the Brahma not laying yet but not the working class ladies!!

Yeah I'm seeing a lot of stuff about buffs not laying yet. I had heard they are supposed so mature fairly early.

I got my first egg!!! From my Australorp I think. She'll be 24 weeks on Monday. It's the most perfect little egg I've ever seen
