We are starting to wonder if our "she" is really a she ... thoughts on the pictures below? We haven't heard any rooster crows, but "she" is bigger and her comb and wattles are bigger than our other buff, who I know is a pullet because she is laying.

A bright red comb and wattles at that age is a sighn that she’ll be laying soon, or maybe she already has

Ok, thank you everyone for the replies! She is so much bigger, more aggressive and redder than the others, so we started to wonder. We are new to this - clearly ;)

Pullet! Looks like my Hazel right before she started laying. I believe they call it a Point of Lay Pullet, comb and wattles get big and very red!
