Once again, I'm booting the babies out of the corner and shooing them over to the lamp.

We are 12! Days, that is.

I won't have my helper on Tuesday when they'll be two weeks old, so I decided to get new photos today. They're growing so fast!

After the trauma of being picked up and photographed they got some wet mash and their second taste of green stuff.

P.S. A few of the blue chicks are already a bit more robust than the others. *Could* be breed, but those might be my hoped-for cockerels since I bought 5 straight-run of the Blue Australorps.

Piled in the corner again tonight.

Not too silly this time though since their 150w reptile night bulb had burned out. I put in the 100w, lowered the lamp, and moved them under the heat.

After moving the babies out of the corner and under the lamp every single night since they went into the big brooder, I left them alone in their corner tonight.

It's only going down to 68F and they know where the lamp is. I will, reluctantly, trust them tonight.

This was taken just at dusk, right before I closed the vent curtains.

I know, it's a terrible photo since the camera decided to focus on the wire. But there they are, as far from the heat as it's possible to get (about 5-6 feet from a 100-watt reptile night bulb), even though they don't have any feathers yet.
