Can anyone confirm if this is a rooster? 25 weeks old. No egg, no crowing but has had a serious change of attitude in the last week from sweet and friendly to attacking us. It was supposedly sexed when sold to us at 5 weeks old.

This is what we thought until last weeks major attitude change. It also was born with a strange shaped hip bone (seen by a vet), causing the tail to not go the right direction. She attacks anyone who walks into the pen. A few weeks ago would jump on the lap for cuddles. Never seen such an attitude change in a chicken before unless rooster

Its a pullet one my gals i hatched start attacking me when she got POL she still a naughty little thing xx

That’s a girl! A sassy one it seems! She looks to be around laying age but you mentioned something about her hip... did the vet say if she would lay or not? :)

No I was concerned it was a lump but was told it was definitely bone and not to worry. They said nothing else as she has always been a happy friendly little thing. It does baffle me how she is a bantam, wobbles, always been very chilled out, yet has somehow made it to the top of the pecking order with a mixed flock of big bossy mix bread layers, silkies and copper marran. A few weeks ago she took over head perch position on the roost.
