25week old hen with slow emptying crop

Oh no it was me who confused the two chickens! Speckle laid a gorgeous green egg the day before we started getting the soft eggs, which is why I thought it was the slow crop lady.

it has been a right stressful day

Update, just checked on the girls to give Speckle that calcium... and Bluebell's crop was completely empty! Definitely going to get them to eat more calcium. Would switching to layer feed be bad for my 15week old pullets? I mean I can just corral Speckle and Blue to eat a special breakfast of layer crumble. I am still planning on that calcium citrate! My other two laying hens eat their oyster shell since their eggs have very hard shells, but having remedies in my chicken first aid kit is wonderful. Thank you

Bluebell is MUCH better today, and back to yelling at me constantly.

Oh and I was trying to figure out how to give a hen a calcium pill... put it in a Blueberry and down the hatch it went lol. Speckle is currently in a nesting box instead of standing hunched up so hoping the 2 doses of calcium helped her out. Thank you folks! 20201123_161554.jpg
