2nd Guess: Budgie Gender

I'm second guessing my budgie's gender! Roughly 3 months old. Has button eyes and 'baby bars' on the forehead.
I've been told he is an opaline pied variety (not sure if that matters.)
The cere was notably pink, but in more recent photos, there might be some white?
I know pink/purple is generally a young male but the color is usually even.
Young females are usually white or pale blue...
...but isn't there something with white nostrils?

Brown is female, blue cere is male but the color doesn't really show up until older.

Confusing. From pink to white and pink. Looking at the pics looks to be girl now. Take some more recent pics in a well lit environment. It can be confusing with young birds. I have breed budgies before and I can tell the sex by the time they leave the nest. Usually boys always have a entirely pink or purple cere that always turn out boys. In a few months time, by 6 months I think there will be a definitive answer

@WallyBirdie Hi! I keep budgies and have bred them several times. This is 100% young male. It does have some white on the nostrils but males actually can and often do as their ceres are changing from the baby color to the adult color! Which is what you are seeing.

You will never find a female which has pink, though. Females this age have pale blue-white ceres that turn tan and brown as adults. Young males always start out pink. Most turn blue as adults; lutino, albino, and recessive pied keep the pink ceres their whole lives. Your bird is a dominant pied opaline, so his cere will turn blue in a few months.
