I secretly envy him being a house bird. I love when they’re little. Gives you an excuse for them to be a house bird. The other day I asked my boyfriend if we could bring in one of my old chicks (3 months old) inside to hangout for a little bit at night. I got the evil eye stare. Not sure why I even askedHe’s only house bird til he’s old enough to go out in coop- my friend does have her own house rooster though
Yeah my neighbor works at the cemetery- they were doing a service and behind them across a little toad was a family visiting a grave. When the boating family left they could see stuff flying around - Tra’s? Tissues? They weren’t done w the service so had to wait to check it. When they did they found white adult feathers lying everywhere and a paper bag w holes in it was on gravestone- the bag was peeping. In it was chicken little! So my neighbor took it inside and then brought it to me as I had just built a coop. What a neat story this is so far. This little guy was so lucky! Still on the fence about him posing on chicken soup, kinda morbid but he was a cemetary chick after all.![]()
I know there are some religions that use chickens. I don't get it but I don't have to. I'm just glad this fella got found before something awful happened to him. He seems to have a good albeit little bit unusual life. A big step up from a paper bag no doubt about that.Lol my friend did it the first week he was with her - so now it’s the photo of the week. Lol we call chick nugget too- officially jerry’s chicken little peeper McNugget- lol and my friend sent me this and asked if it was inappropriate lol last week - lol!
Cute. I also live in California but about an hour south from you guys. All my family is in LA though. Glad you guys are taking care of him. Especially if he’s a roo. Hope to see more agility videos of him as well. I also do dog sports and with that I do the breed does matter. Not sure on chicken agility but I hope your little guy goes far. I really enjoyed his baby video you made!Well this one was ditched at 1-2 days old at the cemetery in a paper bag. I have 2 hens but haven’t had them long and Henny Penny - the nicer one- pecked at him so he had to go to hand raising. Or she. Most think it’s a he. My friend has her own adult house rooster that goes out in an aviary during the day. He was at school and none of the other parents would take a rooster. We live in port of Los Angeles and she has a small yard but has lots of turtles dogs cats and reptiles. About 5 miles away they have a full stable but there are lots of coyotes. So house rooster it is. She’s been on winter break so chicken little is with her til he moved outside at my place so n his bachelor pad and then will integrate w his hens
