Out of curiosity is it common to file beaks? My young silkie has a super pointy beak. She’s about 6 weeks old and still in a brooder. I’ve heard of nail filing but not beak filing...

Well the chick is getting HUGE. my chicken whelper moved it from its baby brooder to a kitty condo and we have already built him (with a 1% chance it's a her) a swinging bachelor pad next to the hens. eventually the runs will open up and be one big chicken condo with coops on each end and runs in between. his old house is down in the lower left. he was found dec 21 and was from a day to a week old. so tht makes him 3-4 weeks old @Cypress tells me its a boy and a leghorn.
