2nd try :) might still be too young

Pics
The chick is at my friends house who keeps it in a crate w a heat lamp- most often it’s riding around in her scarf- the cats don’t even bother it. She has a house rooster named mr Martinez who hangs out inside but has an aviary outside to play in during the day. He sleeps inside in a crate by the dogs.

As for the abandonment workers were right across from where the feathers got dumped and chick left inside bag doing a service so they could stop the people leaving as they were in process of a burial for another family.

A house rooster ?
How do they clean up after him ? I would never allow a chicken to come into my house. Does it wear a diaper? Sounds so unnatural. These animals belong outside where there’s grass and dirt and bugs for them to eat and scratch. That pen and coop in the picture is tiny, how many birds do you have ? Where’s the grass/dirt ?

- yes a house rooster it has an outdoor aviary for day and an inside habitat for night so the raccoons don’t eat him. His name is mr Martinez and was a school rooster. That’s him up top- he’s a bantam rooster who is quite handsome

I’ve never heard of chickens being kept in an aviary before. Aren’t they for parrots ? Chickens are farm animals, They belong outdoors. How big is this aviary ? And why keep a single rooster ?

No grass/dirt for them to scratch? These are chickens not dogs
@brahmachicken240
You didn’t see the fresh sod in the coop along w a sandbox for baths? The bachelor pads sod is coming when he’s old enough to mix w hens no use putting it in there til he moves in. Pavers keep birds safe from digging raccoons.

lower Pic caption: we love our grass and sand! Since we live in a city and the natural dirt is toxic from an old oil rig - we got pavers then sand and dg and de and the sod and a sandbox too! The dogs have an agility yard because they aren’t chickens!

My friends kid brought it home from school and so instead of living at their barn that’s 20 min away they made it a habitat at home. Other than that/ I don’t know as it’s not my house rooster

Nice agility course.....
:)
The chicken don’t get to play on it yet - except Lucky Clucky rho just one day appeared in my trading yard- then roosted in a tree above it for about a month until I built her a coop and someone faster than me caught her. Lucky Clucky can do jumps and tunnels but I haven’t let her back there since we caught her and put her in hen house. I trimmed one wing but she’s sassy and I don’t want to have to try to catch her again. I put in some “ trees” made out of branches in her chicken run so she can roost high in her pen if she wants

The outdoor habitat / aviary is about 8' square tall width and length withmultiple roosts, sand, grass and stuff. so maybe it's not an aviary like a parrots but more like spread your wings and flap in your space and be safe and talk to other birds and the dogs kind of space. I only have dogs and fish in my house.

What kind of dogs do you have?
