    Thornville, Oh
Monday night I went to bed as usual. My DH has been extremely depressed.
Tuesday morning I get up and was going to go into work early and decided to clean the house instead. Well I went to tell my DH goodbye. He told me he took all his Pills. I said what Pills he said all of them. I went and looked sure enough. He took almost 100 pills.
I got him up to take him to the hospital.
Needless to say he ended up having a seizure so I had to call 911 there was no way I could lift him.
They kept him in the ccu yesterday to make sure there would be no more seizures and then they moved him last night to the psych ward and put him on Suicide watch.
I know people get depressed god knows I have been there but OMG the stuff he was telling the doctors I was in absolute tears all day yesterday.
I know he will get better but it will just take time. It really warmed his heart yesterday when he started seeing all these people who kept coming and coming for him, they came from over 200 miles away just to know he was safe.
Please I am just asking for you to pray for him.

I am so sorry. It is wonderful that you are so supportive of him. He needs you. I was there once myself, many years ago. Please remember to take good care of your self too. [IMG] I will keep you both in my prayers.

Everyone gave you the same thing I'll say, but keep in mind that he may say things that are bugging him, yet do not take them personally. Let him spill the beans and don't you become the doctor, be the wife, the love of his life. Only get 1/2 prescriptions for him now, then you will not have the extra laying around.
I cannot imagine how you are enduring such heart felt pain, but if you ever need someone to talk to, not only my shoulder, but seems like there are many others that care about you.
God bless you, take 2 hours out each evening and watch your favorite show, snack, manicure what ever, just do yourself a favor and pamper yourself to something that will make you feel good about yourself.
After he gets home it will be difficult at best. Oh, and find out where he stashes pills, drawers, books, other bottles, and empty them.
I pray for strength, hope and love to light you along this journey.

The doctors asked me if we should send him home or keep him I said no he needs to stay. I said he needs to gets better. They said part of his release is I am going to be in charge of his meds. The good thing that came from this he was out of his other medicine. His Oxycontins. God knows if he would have taken those it surely would have taken his life right there.

In case your wondering my 1st worst day ever was looseing my 6 month old daughter. No mother should ever out live their child. It's been years now since she has left us, but all this yesterday brought back all that pain.

I wanna say I'm sorry this is happening to you and your family. I pray that his long road ahead is paved and has only small bumps to recovery. It's going to be a process that takes alot of time. Remember, It's not your fault and there's nothing you could of done to prevent it. By him telling you he did it only says he wasn't ready and it was his call to help the only way he knew how. I'll pray for you, him and your family. Best wishes. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Spook is right,

we all care about what is happening to you.

When you need a shoulder just shout. I have just read about your little girl as well and you are right this should never happen, but for some reason it does.

I really admire your strength, and you have done the right thing in saying your husband needs to stay. You may love him dearly, but you are not qualified to deal with him as he is right now, he needs professional help, until he is safe at least. Now is too soon.

I lost a very good friend in similar circumstances, and it is very difficult.

Take the advice, know you have friends who care about you both and really listen that you need to take care of yourself. This is not being selfish, it is making sure you stay as strong as posible to be able to face the future.

All very best wishes and we will all keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

    Jena.
