My final draft is finished.

I like coreXY over bed slingers because my experience has been they're easier to setup, have less moving parts to wear out, vibrate less, and need less ongoing maint.

BUT

If bed size matters a slinger's the way to go. Until core XY's get larger format beds in AFFORDABLE sizes, we're kinda stuck in that 200-220mm range.

But like I said over there...

Great points!

I wonder if a perfect setup would be a tiny quiet bed-slinger (like the A1-mini) next to me in my office for the majority of small prints, then a slightly larger-format Core XY that would go in the spare room.
I've got a monoprice voxel (flashforge ad3 clone) and a flashforge ad5m both in my office about 8 feet away. They're roughly as loud when running as my RX6800XT GPU's fans are under heavy load. And really, it's the cooling fan on the extruder that is noisy. I don't think you need to worry all that much about it, especially in an enclosure.

All my Creality printers have been relatively manageable for sound. The earlier ones that didn't have good motor drivers, so my CR-10 was SUPER whiney!

... but even that wasn't too terrible.

That said, I've watched hundreds of videos on newer coreXY printers and most tend to be louder than bed-slingers. I've also watched about 43 reviews and usage videos of the Elegoo Centauri Carbon and most say that you do NOT want it in the same room. LOL!
