3 day old chick panting, need info please.

17 hours later, chick still slightly panting off & on, still not breathing normally except for brief intervals. Have not had it in the brooder all day. We have all taken turns holding this chick today to try and help it regulate its body temp & keep it as comfy as possible. At my wits end, this chick is very important to me, someone please help???? 😪 I am exhausted and need sleep, I can't put it under any light for warmth it gets too hot, it not under some heat it gets too cold. This poor baby and I are wiped. I'm worried it can't take much more, but am hoping I'm wrong. Have continued hourly to give it drops of water with rooster booster until it doesn't want anymore. Gave it another dose of the drench at the 8 hour mark. It ate a few crumbles and a little bit of egg today. If we put it down it starts cheeping loudly. Help please!

its could be brooder pneumonia ive just had 2 chicks die from this. one that was 4 days old and one that was 6 days old :(.
if you watch any of your other chicks are any of them sneezing, sounds wheezy or very thirsty? or open mouth breathing?

Nope, he is the only one. The symptoms come and go. That's why this is so confusing. It's almost as if, he is heat intolerant but wont leave the warm area. Or like he has a fever and gets too hot, then can't cool himself down.

maybe try giving him some apple cider vinegar with fresh crushed garlic and some fresh oregano. it might give him a little boost
I've got him on Nutridrench every 8 hours and rooster booster vitamins & electrolytes formula in the water. ACV hinders vitamin absorption in young chicks. I set him up in an isolation brooder at 3am, to get some sleep. Lowered the temp to 85, he is not shivering but still slightly panting, even now. This is so frustrating.

i know its very frustrating when they are ill or dying and you have no idea what is wrong with them.
i currently have only 1 chick left from 3 that hatched out. the remaining chick was sneezing so as a last effort i started her on apple cider with crushed garlic and oregano, after 2 days of this she is no longer sneezing and full of energy. fingers crossed that she survives.
the garlic with the apple cider and oregano is like a miracle worker.
before trying this i was giving them poultry water with electrolytes and added vitamin b drops. this didnt really help. i too was avoiding giving them the apple cider with garlic and there was mixed advice online. in the end i decided to go for it as a last option. so far so good.

I guess at this point it wouldn't hurt to try it. He isn't sneezing or coughing, no runny nose. But maybe this will help him out. Can I use dry oregano and crushed garlic from a jar? I dont have any fresh on hand.
