i called tractor supply to see if they had any ducks and they said no but we have 20 baby chicks so i told them to hold them and i would come get them. I get there and they have 4 large boxes ready for me and i start looking and it said 64 chicks on one box 15 on one box and 2 boxes with 17 ducks and a box of 3 ducks. so 37 ducks and 79 chicks. So at only a few days old the people at the store threw all the sick chicks they had in the back in my box so now i am losing chicks and i don't know why. They will look fine and a couple hours later they will be on their side and cant stand and die with in 5 hours of getting sick we have lost 6 in 3 days. What could it be they are bantams so really small they have heat food water i tried save a chick and have medicated feed. I move the sick immediately but how do i stop it. could the food be to big it is chick crumble what they were eating at the store.

1st triple check the temperature to make sure it isn't too hot.
Second go back to the feed store and get some Corid.

Also, I saw your other thread and from the sounds of it you now have 172 chicks, and 37 ducklings. You're brooding all the ages separately, right? And you don't have all these birds in one brooder? Unless you're brooding in a large outbuilding or similar?

Edit: I see that you have them in two tubs. How large are the tubs? How many chicks do you have in each?

OP's other thread is here for those wanting more info: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/chick-overload-and-store-sold-me-sick-chicks-help.1238395/

How much room do the 79 chicks have?
What is the size of their "area"?

I have them on shredded newspaper with heat lamps I have two of the larger metal round water tubes i am not sure the measurements but they are very big. I have not check the temp as they are walking around freely in the pen not under the light and not lining the walls when they get sick they act weak cant keep heads up and just go down hill from there i have checked for dirty bottoms and a few have them but not the sick babies. BUT out of the sick ones four where sick from the store.

also like i said they but 64 in one box they took up about 1/3 of the box and i had to drive 48 miles home they would not put them in smaller groups

Are you familiar with what Coccidiosis is?
I think you should run out and get some CORID stat.
