I have a 3 day old chick from a hatchery who seemed perky for the first day, but today will not stand up, scoots backward and pecks her toes.
She is on chick starter and water. At one point, when I was holding her, there were bubbles coming out of her beak, immediately after that she pooped.
I am brand new at this and would love some advice.

I'm still a beginner when it comes to chickens, so hopefully someone with more experience will step in. Were they vaccinated for Marek's? If you go to this link and fill in some of the details, that might help as well.

It sounds to me like you might want to separate the chick from the others. The not walking and bubbles out of the beak worry me, it might be something contagious. At the very least it might save it from being picked on by the others. Hopefully someone jumps on with more knowledge then me.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Can you post a pic of the poo? I know it sounds gross, but it may help if there is anything abnormal going on.

I agree with separating her from the others right away. She will still need light and warmth in the new place. Clean the area where the other chicks are thoroughly.
