Hey Guys~

Brand new to your forum. We started out with chickens last year and have 5 layers. Decided a few months ago and we wanted to add to the flock so ordered some through McMurray. I have one buff orpington, one barred rock, and one I have no idea what breed it is in question. Do you think they are roos and what breed do you think "Z" is????

Thank you

I'm no expert but,
those bright red combs (on young chicks) are screaming roo to me. How old are they?
My guess is;
Buff orp-roo
barred rock-roo
unknown-pullet? (but I can't tell what type of comb it has)
you may have all roos

They are about 13 weeks old now. We will keep one roo and find new homes for the other two. Thank you guys for your input. Now I just wish we knew what the white one is!!!

Buff Orp, Barred Rock, and Easter Egger ( What McMurray would call and Ameraucana but they are not true Ameraucanas.) All roosters

Just curious. What did you buy them as from Murray McMurray?

I think you have 3 Roosters.

Buff Orpington
Barred Rock
Easter Egg

We bought Buff Orpington's and Barred Rock hens from McMurray's, and the EE? was our free rare exotic bird

I am bad at this but Why do you think th ebarred rock is a roo, my hen had a large comb and wattles at an early age about 12 weeks. Not saying it is not a roo just wondering because it looks like a pullet to me.

I believe they are all roos. It's hard to say what z is without seeing his legs. I believe he is a EE.
