Hi guys, last time I posted it was decided my silkie was a roo. Just wanted to check in again to see what you guys now think. More than likely I will have to wait longer and make a new post later once Fifi matures more. And I might need to snap some full body pics so you can see the tail but let me know your thoughts!

@Cyprus...I’m sure you have a good idea! Please let me know what you think as well!

And for kicks and giggles, here’s the new baby I just got (splash silkie). Dang chickens are addicting. I also figured one of my youngesters is bound to be a roo which would mean ...gulp.... it would need to be rehomed and I know chickens don’t do well as only birds hints why I figured I needed a spare.

I would say female, at least for the older one. I'm not super familiar with Silkies. I wish the pictures weren't so blurry but this is my male Bowie. He's a few weeks older than yours at 18weeks but even from an early age I could tell he was male. He started crowing at 7 1/2 weeks, had decent wattle development and a HUGE comb early on. Maybe I was just fortunate, Idk. You can also see the longer "streamers" coming off of his head. Man I just love the electric blue earlobes. They trip me out but in a good way. They are so neat!

I love the blue earlobes too! Can’t see them in my picture but they’re very bright and noticeable! And very cool! They just one day pop up out of nowhere! And thanks for sharing pics of your boy. Very helpful to have a comparison!

The baby (I call her sparkles or sprinkles, since I always forget which name she is lol) is a female. She comes from show lines and was DNA tested by her breeder. I included her pics because...well because chicks are so cute!
