3 or 4 week old chicks *fighting*??

I have 6 bantams - about 3 or 4 weeks old and they are fighting. Its one in particular attacking the others. Grabbing the other one by the neck and jumping on him. I've never seen this before in chicks. They were straight run - is this a male behavior emerging?!?

That sounds like male behavior to me.

Even pullets fight in this manner. I've been watching my 7-week-old Old English Game bantam girls spar with each other, AND the cockerels. Quite adorable.

The best, most reliable gender indicator is comb and wattle development.
