3 pullets had first eggs today!

My first chickens that I raised from day old chicks started laying today! Well, 3 of them anyway. I am so excited! I have 4 hens that I traded some pullets for that are a year old and laying, but none that I have raised myself! I had 2 VERY soft squishy eggs (the first 2), and one very tiny normal egg (3rd), and a full sized egg from on of my BOs or BRs for comparison. I am just too geeked! What are the odds that 3 of the 5 would start laying on the same day??

Funny how once one starts, most of the others do too. Congrats!

And I'm sure the oops eggs will work out within a few days.

Thats real cool. I just put my nest box in today. My birds, 4 sex links 1 barred rock, are 17weeks old. I put golf balls in the boxes & I guess now I wait. These are my first birds & I raised them from day old chicks.
