Maybe it just comes down to if you, personally, have the time to take care of it.
If you do try to get rid of him (selling, I mean), try giving him for free. Because he's a chick and SN, he might actually be taken. Just don't wait to long. People like chicks and a special needs chick will melt many of them. (Huh, that sounded better inside my head.)
Post him everywhere. You can try gently filing his beak 'til then.
If, after a few weeks, he hasn't been taken and his beak is worse, euthanizing him may be kinder. If you have enough extra time to wait, you could occasionally bring him to a vet for trimming (unless you wanted to do it )
It comes down to you. (But no pressure!;))

I have a cross beak hen that is about two years old now. I free range my chickens during the day ... so when I throw out pellets and scratch for them out in the yard in the morning and in the late afternoon I put a small dog bowl inside the pen for "Beak" to eat peacefully. The bowl is deep enough for her to chow down and if I forget to set up her special bowl she comes and reminds me with a very persistent and loud cluck or two. I quickly fill her bowl with layer crumbles and scratch and say, "come on Beak"...and then she follows me back to the coop. She does just fine and lays very delicious eggs!
Hi. Do you ever get her beak trimmed or do you ever file it down. I currently have a cross beak silkie chick im going to take in my aviary vet. Thanks.

Hello all, thank you for your kind replies and concern!

I cannot unfortunately keep chickens in my backyard due to city bylaws. The chicks are inside our bedroom and must find new homes. They started out as a homeschool science activity, but, as you know on this board, chicks / chickens are actually like dogs and cats with personalities. So we have officially become chicken lovers ♥️

If he (she) was able to stay at our home I would keep her/him unless she couldn't eat and then euthanize. I have contacted the breeder and she said she will euthanize for us (cervical dislocation) as that is what she does on her chicken hobby farm. Or I have found a vet who will do gas / injection if he's still little enough to fit inside a large dog anesthetic mask.

I would way rather euthanize than have him go somewhere and starve for not being spoiled.... Or worse. :(. So I do appreciate all the suggestions!

I found one person through Kijiji who takes all unwanted chicks (basically lots of roos), but it's unclear what he does with them

I can see if my friend who is taking my girls will take him and I will pay for the euthanasia if she believes it needs to be done.

As far as beak trimming I can't find an avian vet in our small city but I did get some small dog clippers and have trimmed it once now top and bottom. He was mad about it. I didn't cut the quick but I'm not sure if it is uncomfortable when I move his beak to try to hold it apart for trimming. I tried again today and he didn't let me.

I respect your decision. :hugs

Wish you were in my state I would take her and raise her with my cross beak baby. Best of luck with what maybe.

I currently have a chick with this problem. I am giving him creamed corn with feed mixed in.
Hi there. :frow

That's great that you are keeping a cross beak pet, it a personal choice. Thank you for sharing! :) Please, stop with the creamed corn as it is VERY deficient in protein, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that are added into formulated feeds which many are mostly corn based already. Creamed corn is also fairly high in sodium. I get that your intention is good but you will get your most desired outcome simply making the feed into a wet mash without the creamed corn. I promise! :fl

did our other posts get deleted? I'm not upset about it, but I want to make sure I'm not imagining posting about my religion and euthanasia. I won't repost it, just worried I might be going a lil crazy
Sometimes post do get deleted if they are deemed possibly "inflammatory" to another member. Usually the poster will get a PM from a staff member or moderator letting them know... HOW do I know this?!! :smack

There are some religious threads on here where people have had discussions without being shut down... some how, they keep it civil. Maybe you can search those out and see how others that share your beliefs also share your view on euthanasia or if they have a different understanding. ;)

So you hatched them in an incubator? Lots of 'learning fodder' in this endeavor and it's results. Were there other chicks?

Sorry I meant to say, I'm in Alberta Canada if anyone is near and wants this sweet guy
Might try asking here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/canadians-check-in-here.144/page-472

Oh, I'm not at all upset or anything. I was just playing "devil's advocate" - on both sides! I'm not interested in parsing religion, either. Just offering an alternate viewpoint. But thanks! Thought I was imaging things!
