Started new thread from my other one, mother hen wasn't looking after chicks so I had to take them away.

This chick has gone downhill now not moving, won't eat and I force her beak tip to drink. She's small, light weight and undersize compared to 2 other chicks in same hatch. She doesn't feel warm like the others even though she's under the lamp.
I have aprolium to treat coccidiosis in water and also mixed some feed with med water for wet mash. Dry feed also available.
Other 2 chicks are healthy and active, enjoying some outside grass time now.

How often do I need to force sick chick to drink water? And what about food?
She was like this off and on for a few days now but worse today with stubbling/ falling over/ not walking anywhere. Not eating at all.
No blood in poo.
Also I treated her for pasty butt yesterday. She's pooing normal.

Also she falls over backwards, wings out and can't get the wings back in herself.

Suggestions on how to help chick please! Thank you!

Today pic.. won't eat. Won't move.

I can't give advice on the coccidiosis, but if she's this weak she likely needs to be getting electrolytes+probiotics too. I would add those to her water to give her a little boost. So sorry for your little one, I hope she pulls through!

Thanks for your reply, can I add vitamins etc to the medicated water?

I think she's dead?
..she keeps falling backwards and ends up with wings out cheeping not able to get up :( so I run to help her back multiple times, I keep dipping her beak in water at regular intervals and watery mash chick feed...
I keep picking her up..

She's still alive, barely :(
I think I've tried what I could now, maybe not coccidiosis then if the meds aren't working? ..she's suffering, is it best to end her life?- if yes, how do I do this humanely? Or is there anything else I can do?

Okay I am a little late yes, I'm sorry but if something happened this post is useless but... if not, did or does she tip her head back when you gave her water? Did it look like she was gasping for air? After she get's water. We recently had a chick pass away from being to small from the others. She sadly died in my hands, it was weird cause when she died, she tipped her head all the way back until it touched her back. I'm sorry if something happened with you're chick has passed but if she is alive, that's good. 😥

Sorry to hear your poor little chick died. Very sad. Unfortunately I had to give my chick a quick death as she was obviously suffering and I tried everything I could but some just fail to thrive 😢
