34 Orp Eggs in the 'Bator - 16 Orpingtons!! Woot!!

Hey Miss Prissy how ya doing this morning, I hope all are well and that they have popped like popcorn for ya.

I was on another thread and thought of you. I am getting eggs from a local woman Saturday and she was telling me that she has been experimenting with sexing the eggs. I had never heard of this so I asked her how ya do that (as I thought of you and your 99% roo problem LOL). She said that if you pick the rounder or very oval eggs they are suppose to be hen's, the pointed ones are suppose to be roo's. If ya think about it the roo's are long and thin the hens are more round kind of makes sense. She went on to say she has been trying this for 2 years and has a 98% hen ratio.

I thought that maybe this would be a good project for the board. What do ya think anyone want to work on this project LOL

By the way my "Designer Chickies" are pipping I have 3 out of 39 on the go

Happy Hatching

There are alot of pips in my bator. I am not going back up to look until lunch time. Hopefully the last 2 buffs will be out.

Thanks everyone!

Jody, I am thrilled with the rate of pipping and hatching from your eggs!
