3rd Annual New Year's Day Hatch!!

Well, like Mahonri, I may be told to get rid of my chickens tomorrow in the administrative hearing with the county. So the five boxes of eggs I will be setting for this Hatch may have to go to good homes, however many hatch from 'em. (Of course I am going to set and incubate 'em anyway!)

But I also may spend tomorrow night in the coop with the chickens, hugging even the most un-huggable chickens, ducks and/or geese.

...I almost went to the auction section to compulsively bid on some more eggs....

So sad...hide them anywhere, somewhere....I am so glad I don't have to worry about my guys and gals, which is why we bought where we did in September...hubby said the chickens were not the priorty, but they were and I don't even know how much he has in the runs, but he wants more....Wishing you luck on your endeavor....under-the-radar chickens

I finally turned on my incubator today. I had planned on doing it last week, but at least it has a few days to warm up.

I have also convinced myself that just in case I only get one project chick to hatch, I had better incubate every blue, green, and olive egg that I have. Just to be sure that I don't end up with a lonely little chick.

Also a newbie... And I'm in!! Although eggies are still in the mail, I have VERY high hopes!! It's a bit chilly here in Philly, but heck, I've got a basement...
