I have a little rescue Cooper Moran that seems to have a broken leg. Someone placed a stent on it. I’ll check it later. Currently, I’m concerned about her foot. There seems to be an odd patch and a bit of swelling. Does anyone know what this is? If so, recommend protocol of healing?

Better photo before the splint.
I agree this looks like a pretty severe break. That original splint doesn't look like it's holding up very well.

If you have any, you can use very small hair curlers as splints for chicks. It has to be snug on the leg though. Or something flat and hard, like a popsicle stick.

Brace the leg and use vet wrap to bind it. Don't wrap it too tight or you'll cut off the circulation to her leg altogether.

The problem here though is that the toes look like they're broken as well. It's hard to tell without an x-ray. If you can, I would definitely see an avian vet. They can also provide you with pain medication for her and antibiotics if she needs them.

He did. He said it was not great but not the worst he’d seen. The weird welp on the her footbed was a big bruise. She goes back Tuesday for a check up. I created another post because I’m unsure of the amount of sleep or rest a hurt chick should or should not be having. It has all her data in the new post. Can you take a look?
