Well, our young RR laid her first egg today, right outside the coop...Lol. One EE to go. Our BR is the only consistent layer; she hasn't missed a beat. Our SLW is moulting, so none for her and our other EE hasn't laid for awhile. Snowin' and blowin' all the time has slowed the egg laying.

One thing I've noticed, is our RR squats at almost anything. Moving, talking...anything. She's worse than our BR, and she's quite the receptive hen. The squating seems to correlate with laying, so that's something to use as a sign that they're getting close.

Congrats on a first egg, maybe the next one she'll hit the next box, gotta start somewhere. Tell EE#2 to hurry up with the pretty blue eggs. It is funny with the squatting, some are a lot worse than others, some are almost a nuisance when you keep tripping over them because they won't get out of the way.
