I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you include your general location on your profile, this will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flocks or goats, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

wow, it sounds like you are having lots of fun. I apparently had misconceptions about 4-H, well that or basically no one ever explained what is really behind it. now that I have 2 kids, we've gotten into it and been really surprised at how rich it is! I never knew what the 4-H's were and now that my kids are getting into it I can't think of anything better for them than head, heart, hands, health! clearer thinking, greater loyalty, larger service, and better living are all principles that we cherish, yay for 4-H and yay for you being a leader!
If I could quit my day job and do 4-H full time, I would!

Welcome!

Very cool. I'm president of a 4-H club called Hooves, Beaks, and Bills, with goats, chickens, quail, and ducks. No geese yet! I wish you luck with your new project.
These geese literally fell into our lap last summer. I am so proud of my 4-H'er Haley who is spearheading this project. She did the research and was able to track down a 10 month old goose to replace the one who had been killed. When people find out we are a 4-H club, they go out of their way to help us!
