4 legged chick Clover

Pics
She has been tripping over her extra legs and they have totally slowed her down. She also has to have a bath like every three days to get the poop off which she hates. It wont be a complicated surgery at all so we aren't worried. Plus the estament dropped to like 500 dollars instead of 1,500! And now laying eggs will be much easier (when she finally does, slacker) and she will not be put under full anesthesia.
What made you decide to go ahead with the surgery? Is she having issues with the extra legs? Last I knew, you were gonna wait and see

Wait! Why are you removing her extra legs?! :eek:Is that necessary? Oh please keep her extra legs! She wouldn't be four-legged Clover without them! :hit:hit

I think she is expected to have a better quality of life with the extra legs gone, rather than hanging out there getting poopy.

This has been planned for a while.
exactly!
NOOOOOOOOOOO NOT THE LEGS!

Thank you @Ceciliasflock for the additional info. My first thought to those who didnt want to see the extra legs removed was "sometimes it's better to be normal than to be unique." But i decided to remain silent and wait for a better reply. And through your explanation of Clovers current hardships, you gave it!

And anyway, Clover will Always be unique. She may Appear normal after her surgery today, but she will always be the cute litte chick that was born with 4 legs, was lucky to be overlooked at the hatchery, & lucky enough to be sent to a caring chick owner who did what was necessary to ensure Clover thrives. No surgery can ever change the fact that Lucky Clover she was, and Lucky Clover she will always be!

I honestly felt so bad for her but i wanted to keep the legs so bad!! We got rid of our rooster yesterday so he won't be a worry for her recovery anymore. He went to the sweetest woman ever. Love her. Of course she will always be my special girl. her vent will still be wonky but i think that will be ok...
