Might be able to remove ovary, but I doubt it.
Best bet to stop laying is an implant to quell hormone production and thus ova growth and release.

One thing that that was very interesting is the fact that eggs come "down the pipe" pointy end first, but are laid round end first. So at some point, the egg is sideways as it turns around.

My hen who usually lays the smallest egg just had a jumbo, 75 gram, 3" long egg. Ouch.
