We have been "chicken sitting" for the past two months. When the owner left, he said 'thought' the red was a roo.. there is also two others which are crowing (big one was the only one when he left but it was obvious with the other!) so not pictured as I know those are (and so did he) He didn't say anything else about the two blacks being roos so I think he thought they were hens! The two in the cage were too small to tell so think he is going to be in for a shock when he returns to a total of 6 roos and 6 hens with only 3 laying when he thought it would be 3 roos and 9 hens! I just want to make sure that I am getting this gender thing down here (I am such a newbie!) Am I right on this? I am not sure about the ages just know they have grown leaps and bounds in the last two months!
Red comb and downward pointing tail- signs of roo? Other pullet? Do I have this right?

The one I think is a hen? She is not laying yet.. no big comb or wattle, and tail feathers say hen? right?

roo, right? *not crowing

Both roos, right? again... not crowing
